The Colored Blocks below are a representation of the Gospel of Christ so that all who read may be saved, drawn back to God, or encouraged to continue overcoming and pressing on toward the goal of eternal life in Heaven with Christ Jesus, Our Lord and Savior.
BLACK — The Darkness of Sin
Sin is anything that we say, do, think, and even feel that goes against God.
We can compare sin to darkness. Imagine being lost in the dark and unable to find your way. The same can be said of spiritual darkness. Without God, we stumble through life struggling to find our way.
We were all born sinners, born with a kind of "want to" to do wrong, born to disobey. Our parents didn't have to teach us to disobey their rules and so we didn't have to be taught to disobey God's rules.
As children we were punished for doing wrong or sinning such as disobeying, lying, cheating, not being kind to someone, and gossiping. The punishment for sinning against God is separation from Him through death in a place of punishment called Hell for eternity.
But God doesn't want that! He loves us and wants us to be in Heaven with him for eternity.
God does not allow sin in Heaven and all have sinned! He loved us so much that He made a way for sin to be taken care of.
RED — Jesus' Blood
God's Son, Jesus, became man and lived a perfect life on Earth. He was tempted as we are, but He resisted the temptor.
Jesus was willing to take our punishment of death and was lead to the cross. He took upon Himself the sin of the whole world so that we wouldn't have to die. He knew the only way for our sin to be forgiven was to shed His blood! (Hebrews 9:22b)
As He died, he uttered the phrase, "It is finished!", meaning that everything that needed to be done to take away our sins was done by Him on the cross. He was buried, he arose from the grave, and ascended back to Heaven until He comes to take us home.
WHITE — Clean
Jesus' blood cleansed away our sins and washed us white as snow. He wiped away all of our sins. We just have to believe with all of our hearts that He died, was buried, and rose again. All we have to do, is ask for Him to forgive us and ask Him to come into our hearts.
GREEN — Grow
After receiving Christ as our Lord and Savior, we have to grow in His grace and knowledge. The way to do that is by reading, studying and obeying His Word. If we sin, we just have to confess our sins to Him and "He is faithful" means that He will forgive our sins.
Plants need three things to grow. They need the sunshine, the rain, and good soil. As a Christian our sunshine is prayer with the Son, our rain is the nourishment of reading God's Word, and our soil is the healthy relationship with other believers in the faith.
GOLD — Heaven/Streets of Gold
Heaven is the benefit of receiving Christ. It is the place where there will be no more night, no more war, no more fear, no more pain/suffering, no more tears, where Christ Himself will be the light and no more sin!!!
We will live forever with Christ worshipping Him!
BLUE — Sky/2nd Coming of Christ
Christ will step out on the clouds one day to call His children home. We need to be faithful, ready, waiting, and watching for His return.
What Do I Do?
- Admit that you have sinned and need forgiveness.
- Believe that Jesus died by giving His blood to pay for your sins and that He rose again and ascended into Heaven.
- Ask for forgiveness and ask Jesus to come into your heart.
