Dave Ezell

Member from 2012 – 2020

Dave Ezell, from Pinson, AL, sings the baritone part. Dave gives God the glory for all things in his life and is 100% committed to serving the Lord in any capacity or place that God calls him to. After serving 22 years as a United States Marine, Dave returned home to Pinson in 1995 where he and his wife, Debby, have faithfully attended First Baptist Church of Pinson. Dave has served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and in all phases of the music ministry there. He credits his deep love for the Lord and his compassion for people to his parents Bill and Jean who nurtured him, as well as his 3 brothers and sister, in the light of God’s love.

Dave has been involved in various forms of musical performance including a cappella barbershop harmony and southern gospel music with quartets like Faithful Men, Sheltered Harbor and The Capstone Quartet. Dave works in the rental eqipment industry. Dave and Debby have 2 fine sons, Jason and Jesse. When not on the road with Chosen Witness, Dave may be found spoiling his 3 grandchildren or spending time with Debby and their Siberian Husky, Liebe (“Lee-bah”). Hobbies include motorcycling and enjoying his farm in Blount County doing anything from working the soil to fishing, hunting or just taking in God’s beautiful creation. In the fall it’s all about Crimson Tide Football. His favorite quartets include The Cathedrals and The Kingsmen, and his favorite foods include anything that doesn’t eat him first. Dave’s most common nicknames are “D2” and “Big Easy”, which stems from his laid-back demeanor in spite of his tall frame and the time he spent in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Dave retired from civilian duty at the end of 2019 and moved out of state to be near family. That move brought his season with Chosen Witness to an end. We wish Dave all the best and encourage him to keep on singing.
