We’re excited at what is in store for 2012 as we begin our 15th year of ministering through southern gospel music. Our Schedule page has been updated with dates for the new year. If you’d like to have Chosen Witness be a part of your worship service or event then head over to our Contact page and connect with us to schedule a date. As always we have no set charge or fee for our ministry we just ask for a donation (love offering) to help offset our expenses.

This year’s event will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 9th, 10th and 11th beginning each evening at 6 PM. Make plans to attend for an evening you will never forget.

Group member Mark Jones has just released a new electronic publication. “How To WRITE SONGS” breaks down the process of song writing into steps that anyone can follow. If you’ve ever thought “I don’t see how anyone can write a song” then this book is what you need to get rolling writing songs yourself. The publication is also available for the nook.

Sister of Mark Jones Passes Away

Frances Roberts, the sister of Chosen Witness member Mark Jones passed away on Saturday July 16, 2011. Much has been said about the passing of a friend or love one. We as believers and followers of Jesus Christ have wonderful promises of eternal life with Him. Very true and comforting but the bottom line is, it still hurts. Please keep Mark and his family in your prayers during this season of grief.

Mark Jones wins another writing award!

Mark Jones, one of the founding group members of Chosen Witness, not only writes songs but also fictional books and short stories. Mark recently won second place in the “Fiction: Short Story” category at the 2011 Southern Christian Writers Conference. His short story titled “A Good and Kind Heart” that was published in The Times Record (a local newspaper in Fayette, AL) took home the honour. The story is part of a collection that is available online at LifeChangingBooks.org. Congratulations Mark!
